Dress season is here and I am here for it! Okay, maybe it never really ended here in Florida. All of the florals, pastel colors and details like puff sleeves are making me so excited for warm Spring days and the perfect excuse to wear a dress!

When I go out with my friends to dinner or to hang out, they usually will ask me what I am wearing and I will always say, “Oh, something casual”. Then I will show up wearing a dress and well…I always get “the look”. It’s the, they are wearing leggings look and you look like your ready for a party look ha! Which friend are you, the dressed up one or leggings one?!

In my defense, dresses are casual in my mind and they just easily make you looked more dressed up than you actually are! Honestly, no thought goes into throwing on a pretty dress and some sandals! In 2 seconds you have a cute outfit! I thought all of these dresses would be so perfect for Easter, casual work from home days, running errands and everything in between.

All week I thought it was Friday! Now today is finally the day which means my weekly Sunny Style Finds post! There are so many cute cute fall releases that just dropped. I included some fall colored dresses, a tropical inspired basket, sweaters and some vacation inspired beach cover ups! That’s just what you get when you come here, a mix of tropical and fall!

After going away to Vero Beach last weekend, I finally feel all caught up with blog stuff and work! Even started planning a bit of Christmas content! Yippee!! Be on the lookout next week for a Vero Beach travel guide! I grew up going there as a kid and it’s the prettiest beach town! We’re expecting it to be in the high 70’s tomorrow and everyone is sooo excited, including me! It’s a much needed break after 90’s everyday. Hoping I can wear some of my fall dresses!

Just saw that J.Crew dropped this dress on their site this week. Love it with the white sneakers. It’s totally a fall in Florida dress. There seem to be no heels in my near or distant future so I am all about easy and casual outfits!

The Sunny Style Finds are back!!! I took a break from this series and might move these posts to Friday for a fun way to end the week! You’ll find a mix of classic pre-fall tops and dresses and end-of-summer finds that includes white shorts and a scalloped swimsuit.

Sunday’s, I usually try to dedicate time to write and schedule out blog posts for the week. I kept finding myself taking hours to only write the Sunny Style Finds posts and would get nothing else done?! Hoping this schedule works better! Or maybe I’m just a really slow worker…or kept getting side tracked with online shopping…we will see!

I’ve mentioned it before but I am hanging onto summer for as long as I can (or until the end of September). I’m like this every single year and saying goodbye to swimming is always so sad. Once October hits though, fall mindset all the way! The temps take justtt a little longer to catch on. I have a girls trip planned to Vero Beach mid-Sept and think I am hoping the summer temps stay so we can enjoy our vacation and blue water beach days, ha! After that, here comes fall content!

Staying true to yourself on a blog can sometimes seem like a struggle. There are so many trends out there but I always go back to simple, classic, relaxed and preppy style essentials like this white shirtdress. The entire dress is so sophisticated and such an easy piece to throw on and instantly feel like you are ready to take on the day! It looks long enough that you could tie a belt around it to create a waist!

This top reminds me of the blue and white floral bow scrunchies I just released! So simple and would look so cute paired with white shorts or skinny jeans!

So I actually ordered this exact dress is the blue and white striped version and it arrived this week. I am not sure I love it but I want to so bad! Keep in mind it run’s large and there’s lots of extra material for the baby doll dress style. I ordered an XS and might need a S for more shoulder room but the middle is extremely forgiving. I think it makes the cutest fall dress to pair with sneakers. It also has elastane, so it’s really easy to move in and you don’t feel restricted.

Gap 3.5 High-Waist Button Up Shorts, $18.97

White shorts are a girls staple in the summertime. With summer temps still going strong, I have been getting so much use out of my white shorts. When I was in Palm Beach this weekend, my friend Ashley and I stopped by the outlets. There shorts were only $20 and fit amazing! I bought a 6/28 and have worn them with tanks and long sleeve button up shirts. You can roll the bottoms if you like your shorts a tad shorter or keep them unrolled if you like the length.

Hello August and end-of-summer sales! I am loving the sales going on. My latest finds include a bright swimsuit on sale, the new product I just released, a cute summer transition dress and a fun citrus print skirt!

Wow guys, August 3rd already?! Seems like I just blinked and it went from quarantine to fall clothes hitting the shelves, hurricane warnings along the entire East Coast of the US and looking forward to Trey Kennedy’s new “Girls During Fall Be Like” video to release. Did anyone else tune into his 202 Hindsight Live Event this past Weds?! I went to a friends to watch it and had a blast! Before COVID hit, I was planning to see him live on his Tour for my Birthday in April. My plans didn’t work out…but did anyone’s for 2020 ha?!

We are currently in a “hurricane watch” over here until Monday morning around 2 AM when the hurricane will be creeping up to Central Florida. If anyone is affected by this, know I am praying for you! I’m not to concerned but there’s always the question, “will we loose power or not? Will it flood if it slows down and sit’s on top of Florida for days?!”. If we do loose power aka precious air conditioning, Monday will be a no work for me day! I’m trying to get as much blog work done today justttt in case! Then my mom and I are going to the beach tonight with some machine that measures the wind mph haha! Exciting stuff.

Hey friend! Starting the week off right with a few tops that you can ease into fall with (I say that very lightly), a Florida based stationary brand, some citrus pajamas and the towel you will want to take on every vacation!

Whose ready to take on a new week?! I know I am. This weekend I spent it completely social media free. Besides a quick Facebook scroll. I help manage Island Jay’s Facebook page for work and use it for business stuff and check it often, so I got sucked in for 5 minutes HA!

I’m not sure if it’s COVID related or turning 30 but I’ve had to really limit myself on social media or I just feel completely defeated/sad and this weird left behind feeling every time I go on. So many marriages, engagements, babies, new houses and it’s better for my overall happiness to find joy in my own life and not worry what others are doing. During the week I love using social to it to promote blog posts, chat with you all and I do get really inspired by it! Sometimes though I just need a break!

Happy Monday!!! The heat is here which means dress and sandal season is in full swing. I am here to remind you that you can still dress cute even when it’s hot out! Today on SSF you will find a lightweight summery top, my fav sandals on sale, a coastal inspired woven bag and a girly dress!

How was your weekend? I had the best social media free weekend! It wasn’t until mid-afternoon on Sunday that I noticed I hadn’t even checked Instagram and was hours since I last checked my cell phone. During the work week I am always glued to my phone and need to use it often for work, so it’s a nice welcome break to be without it! Saturday my BFF and I planed an entire beach day and within an hour a huge storm hit. We got caught in the best summer storm and swam in the ocean with one other crazy family who wanted to wait out the storm like us.

Sunday was a full work day for me. I spent the morning shooting a bunch of product photos for a client. It’s one of my first “big” jobs and am so grateful for the opportunity. I’ve been working towards this goal and have been praying specifically for photography clients exactly like this! I keep reminding myself this is a great place to be at and to remember that God had my back when just last year at this time I was working at a minimum wage job I hated (and really discouraged). This week and last was spent taking 20+ photos with different models and backgrounds! It really pushes me out of my comfort zone and I wait to share with you all! While browsing the internet tonight for new swimsuits, I stumbled upon this adorable Etsy shop that sells matching mommy and me swimsuits. Instantly I fell in love with this pineapple suit!!! It had amazing reviews and the tie is adjustable!

My beach bag is always filled with different sunscreens for my face and body. After my beach day today, I realized I am running super low on my body sunscreen! I have been wanting to try Supergoop since last year and am finally going to make the plunge. I love this travel kit to get a taste of the sunscreen. Once I try it, I will give a thorough review!

How fun is this floral print with tie strap swimsuit? Growing up, I don’t remember having this many cute printed suits to choose from. It’s so girly!

“Birken-Crocks” Sandal, $13.00

Ah, so I have owned these shoes for about a year and a half now and love them! I use them for beach days, gardening, by the pool and taking walks at night. Their super versatile and the dirt rinses right off of them. Bloggers have been calling them Birken-crocks because it’s like birkenstocks and crocks had a baby, ha!

Target Adjustable Visor, $12.99

You may not know this about me but I always wear a visor when I am outside at the beach or pool. My friends always laugh and me because I look like a soccer mom, ha! I love it lightens my hair while still keeping the sun off of my face! This straw one from Target has a tie and can be easily adjusted to fit your head size. It’s nice to be able to tie it tighter for bike rides or windy beach days!
