I’m so excited to finally share Shepherd's nursery! This sweet space has been in the works for a LONG time, and as someone who loves design, it was such a treat for me to see my vision come to life. I've linked all of the sources down at the very bottom, but wanted to discuss a few things in detail within the post. I've got a few more things that we plan on adding with time and age, so I'll be ... View the Post
Baby Swain’s Nursery
I’m so excited to finally share Shepherd's nursery! This sweet space has been in the works for a LONG time, and as someone who loves design, it was such a treat for me to see my vision come to life. I've linked all of the sources down at the very bottom, but wanted to discuss a few things in detail within the post. I've got a few more things that we plan on adding with time and age, so I'll be sure to update this post with any new little touches over the next few months! My ... View the Post
We’re Halfway There: 2nd Trimester Update
It's hard to believe that I'm halfway through this pregnancy, give or take a few days, pending on when baby boy chooses to arrive. I don't plan on doing tons of pregnancy update posts, but I did want to document just a little bit of this journey so that I can remember everything myself! The second trimester has truly been the "sweet spot" of pregnancy. I had a brutal first trimester and was basically bound to the couch between the all- day nausea and exhaustion. It made me feel so unlike ... View the Post
An Unsponsored Review of Hello Fresh
Hello Fresh: An Unsponsored Review I stayed out of the kitchen during my entire first trimester. Battling all day sickness and a sensitive gag reflex caused me to become very limited on what I ate during that time. By the time I was able to jump back into the kitchen, it felt like it had been such a long time since I'd actually cooked, and I still had trouble thinking of meal ideas and figuring out what sounded good. Enter Hello Fresh. I'm sure you've heard of the meal subscription kit ... View the Post
A Visit To Monahans Sandhills
Monahans Sandhills State Park Can you believe this is only 50 minutes from our house in Midland?! I'm embarrassed to say that this was our first visit to Monahans Sandhills State Park. With its close proximity, you can bet we will definitely be back! It is such a cool natural area with miles and miles of sandhills for exploration. You can rent toboggans and sled down the hills, walk around, pack a picnic, and obviously get some pretty cool photos! It's similar to White Sands in New Mexico, ... View the Post
Baby Swain Is On The Way!
We're Pregnant! We have patiently waited to share this exciting news for what seems like an eternity!! Brandon and I feel immensely blessed and beyond thankful to be expecting a precious baby BOY in January, 2021. We could not be more excited and eager to welcome a baby into our family and have prayed for this for a long time. Hello Second Trimester! Now that I am into the second trimester, I'm finally starting to feel better. The first trimester was a doozy, and I was really ... View the Post
Surprise Snow In Colorado
Our Winter Wonderland WOW. Colorado certainly put on a show for us this past weekend! When Brandon and I arrived, we were greeted with a thick layer of snow from their most recent surprise snow storm. We'd been anticipating the trip, thinking that we'd get to see the last of the fall foliage and do some hiking. Instead, the state was in full blown winter wonderland mode, and it felt more like a Christmas vacation than a fall trip. Honestly, it was exactly what we needed. We curled up by the ...
